The WIRE project
WIRE (https://webs.uab.cat/wire) is an EU-funded project that aims to place women at the centre of historical narratives of anti-totalitarian resistance in Europe, both as agents and as victims. The project seeks to reshape historical memory and the values associated with it, with the goal of creating a more inclusive and diverse understanding of the past.
The permanent Online Exhibition
The permanent Online Exhibition aims to gather the project’s outcomes and educational materials about the stories of women in resistance and anti-regime movements in Europe across the 20th century. These include Podcasts about the women stories, a Theatrical Play, a Pedagogic Dossier with educational guidelines, and the the Narrative Games. Last, you can see the trip that a group of 40 final-year university students did over four months in Greece, Italy, Spain and Poland in the Memory Route.
